Abstract

This study aims to reveal the reality of Foreign investment in the State of Qatar, and the attractiveness of the Qatar Stock Exchange to foreign investors, as an international market since 2014 after raising its rating to an emerging market by both Morgan Stanley and Standard & Poor's. We have concluded that Qatar is attracting Foreign investment, despite being clearly influenced by economic and political developments in the Arab region and the world, as well as the flows of residents' investments to abroad. The Qatar Exchange is also highly attractive to both foreign and institutional investors and contributes significantly to increasing trading volume and market liquidity.
